The CLC program collaborates with the day school providing opportunities for academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students, particulary students who attend low-performing schools, to meet state and local student performance standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and mathematics.
Our CLC develops and operates a Youth Recreational/Enrichment Program which exposes participants to activities in the arts, sports, fitness, cooperative learning games, and experiences that build on a wide diversity of cultural and ethic groups.

South Division CLC Staff has worked effortlessly to maintain a 100 student (daily) retention, as stated in our standards, and we found ourselves proudfuly exceed those 2004 standards with a total of 208 students daily.
South Division has been made an example for all of Milwaukee High School CLC's. Many of the Site Coordinators from other High School CLC's have made contact with our staff to obtain information on our accomplishments and successes to aid their programs in becoming a success.

The CLC would like to see the students with low grades to continuously climb their current grade level with the assistance of the after school program. We find that working closely and in collaboration with the day school is a benefit.

The Recreational activities of the CLC program is divided into two recreational groups the Physical component is designed to get kids moving and physically active, as well as discussions on health and nutrition.
The non-competitive, in nature are cooperative learning games that provide opportunities to practice academic skills such as chess, checkers, puzzles, and word games; and experiences that build on a wide diversity of culture and ethnic groups.
A Youth Choir will be beginning in February for students to express themselves exuberantly through the art of music. There will be a performance at the end of the year.
